“Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum puto”
Publius Terentius Afer

*TaxDermia* is a reflection on the horrors of human nature—horrors that have existed from our very origins to the present day.
Drawing inspiration from Bertolt Brecht’s *Fear and Misery of the Third Reich*, the work unfolds through a series of vignettes featuring characters who, at times, are portrayed as distinct individuals, yet at others, become fluid and ambivalent—serving the need to express humanity in its universality and across the span of its history. Through the mediums of dance, theater, and visual composition—which serve to establish diverse contexts—this production attempts to sublimate the terrible by offering a tribute to humanity, held aloft by the yearning that, perhaps, someday things might be different.
