Stephanie García

CDMX + SLC

Stephanie García is a Mexican choreographer, performer, and interdisciplinary artist working between the U.S. and Mexico. She is co-founder and co-director of Punto de Inflexión Project and PROArtes México. Through choreography, performance, and film, her work engages audiences in critical and embodied encounters with contemporary realities.

In 2025, she was named a Fellow in the 100th class of the Guggenheim Fellowship in Choreography. Her work has been presented across the Americas, Europe, and Africa, and she has created over 30 interdisciplinary pieces shown internationally. She has collaborated with leading artists and performed at major festivals and venues worldwide, with support from institutions in Mexico, the U.S., Europe, and Canada.

An arts advocate since 2008, García has facilitated international exchange initiatives connecting Mexican artists with global platforms. Since 2016, she has developed and curated video dance festivals and live arts platforms, including Corriente Alterna, founded in 2025.

She is currently a member of the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM).
