About the event
Moving Forward Together, Latinx and Chicanx Movement Artists in Conversation is a casual conversation looking to gather a diverse dance community on the evening of September 25th, 5 pm at SpyHop Rooftop, to discuss the importance of the contributions of Latinx/Hispanx dancemakers in SLC/Utah. The event is free. Everyone and any dance style are welcome, especially all self-identified Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx dancers, choreographers, dance administrators, dance presenters, dance critics, dance educators, etc.

Our SLC Guests are: Fanny Blauer (Artes de México en Utah), Paola Cespedez Caba (Ballet Folklorico Nuevas Raices de Bolivia), Fausto Rivera (Ririe-Woodbury Dancer), and Karina Villalba (Prehispanic Culture Dancer) will share their lived experiences as a dancemaker in SLC/Utah.

David Herrera from San Francisco, founder, and director of the national network Latinx Hispanic Dancers United, will join us in person for the discussion.
