Inspired by Octavio Paz’s "The Labyrinth of Solitude"—a seminal work of Mexican literature that marked a milestone in understanding a nation forged through complex, multifactorial processes on the path toward shaping its identity—this piece revolves around the impact of the flow moving from the collective to the individual and back again, and how this is reflected within the individual psyche. As a recipient of stimuli, beliefs, and ideas—and a processor of such information both consciously and unconsciously—the individual is influenced by this dynamic as it manifests back into their environment, continuously experiencing a sense of orphanhood, solitude, and emptiness in the ongoing quest for self-definition.
