From the Borderlines to the Roots/ De las Borderlines a las Raíces (2023)

Synopsis:

​

This work is inspired by (but not limited to) the Latinx identity and immigrant experience, a reflection of the impact of migrating (whether it is legal or illegal, within the same country or abroad), and all an immigrant has to let go of when going somewhere new. It is also an homage to the people who make this country function and are undervalued and almost invisible, laborers and working-class people and their cultural heritage.

Sinopsis:

Este trabajo está inspirado (pero no limitado a) la identidad latina y la experiencia de lxs inmigrantes, una reflexión del impacto emocional de la migración (ya sea legal o ilegal, dentro del mismo país o en el extranjero), y todo lo que un inmigrante tiene que dejar ir cuando va a un lugar nuevo. También es un homenaje a las personas que hacen funcionar este país y que son infravaloradas y casi invisibles, lxs obrerxs y la clase trabajadora con su herencia cultural.
